The Astrology of the Holy Rosary

Praying the Holy Rosary has lifted my life, healed my broken heart and strengthened my faith as nothing else on earth. The power of the Holy Rosary is watched over by the wisdom of Venus, the planet of mercy and love.

The path of the planet Venus in the night sky is identical to the Rosary itself. The journey of Venus is composed of five synodic periods, like the five sequences of the ten stations on the Rosary when the Hail Mary is spoken. When Venus makes her way through all five periods she hesitates five times and turns backwards. During her backwards or retrograde motion, she makes a symbolic, geometric indentation in time and space. Those retrograde points are represented in the Rosary as the five distinguished moments when one prays "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." The prayer itself is vividly astrological in nature. Heaven, being the place where the planets reside and the call for the 'will of heaven' or the 'will of the planets' to be done on earth as it is in the sky is a direct confrontation with astrological reasoning.

In the performance of this prayer we can see a direct communion taking place with the Holy Rosary. It is an act of confidence and surrender that sends our thoughts to the Holy Mother, Venus herself who rewards us with her blessings and healing intervention.

Here is how to pray the Holy Rosary using astrological insight.

Start with the sign of the cross. The cross represents the four cardinal directions upon which man is subject to his incarnation. The vertical line (north to south) represents spirit crossing  the horizontal line (east to west) representing matter. This means the cross symbolizes ‘spirit into matter’. The reason the intersection is not located in the center of the lines and instead is formed two-thirds of the way up on the vertical line, is because the intersection of the lines correspond to the location of the human heart. It is in the heart where the focus of life resides. When we make the sign of the cross we are acknowledging that we are spirit living within matter and that the heart, with its unique power, is our sacred center.

The formal beginning of the Holy Rosary is as follows:

After making the sign of the cross recite:

1. I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:

2. And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:

3. Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary:

4. Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hell:

5. The third day he rose again from the dead:

6. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:

7. From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead:

8. I believe in the Holy Ghost:

9. I believe in the holy catholic church: the communion of saints:

10. The forgiveness of sins:

1l. The resurrection of the body:

12. And the life everlasting. Amen.

The apostles creed viewed astrologically touches on reincarnation and the path that our astronomical Sun makes when it sets and rises every 24 hours.  The astrology of the Sun aligns with the description of the savior, his behavior as a holy figure that dies and rises, his importance and live giving forces and his seat next to the "Father" which is the planet Saturn. Saturn is the Judge, who judges and rules over our character. This passage implies the description of the Sun setting and rising to meet with Saturn the next day.

Next we recite ten Hail Mary's:

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

As it was in the beggining, is now and ever shall be.

World without end. Amen.

When we are reciting the Hail Mary's, we are walking in her shoes so to speak. We are advancing along the path of Venus and requesting her mercy and intervention. We are acknowledging her intelligence, bowing to her wisdom, and invoking her influence.

Next we recite the Lords prayer:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

When we recite the Lords prayer we are acknowledging the relationship we have with Heaven and the power the planets have in our lives to help or dissuade us from our goals. We surrender to the knowledge we are not in charge of the events in life, but that we are in charge of how we bring ourselves to those events. By praying with this understanding we sharpen our insight and align ourselves to our highest state. Our hope in doing this is that we prevail against adversity. We acknowledge that evil has potential within and without and we work spiritually to prevent our participation with it by gaining a foothold and believing it can be conquered.

The entire act of praying the Rosary is an invocation of protection and a command that evil (in various forms of violence, deception and harm) stand down and know its place outside of our hearts and minds. By praying the Rosary every day we emote and create peace forming a strong character from which to face our challenges.
